Allow read online, but no download

Is there a way to set shares or permissions so that a file can be viewed online, but not downloaded?  In particular for a DOC, XLS, or PDF file.

You create a "direct link" for the file. This will create an access link to that file and give you a URL address. One of the URL address is for "Download" and the other one is for "Open"

You should note that if let say you created a link to a word document, then that person should have MS Word to have the doc open in his/her browser.

To create direct link, first select the file, than from the top select "Direct Link" and than hit the Create button.

After that you will see the optional links generated for Download or Open
