Is there a way to share files to a larger list than just the six names and e-mail addresses that you get when you hit share file or share folder button?

You may share with as many people as you like. At first there are spaces for 5 email addresses simply because the form would be too long. But after doing a file share, you can select the file/folder again and share and there will be more room for additional address.

Public sharing is also possible. you select the file and than select direct link button. This will create the link for you. You can use this link in your emails or even publish them on your website for content serving etc.
